Through a Cooperation Workshop with Yukbisnis, com and JNE

In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which has penetrated every line of life at this time, requires penetration in both aspects of production, information and marketing and distribution. The era of digitalization is fueling the growth of new entrepreneurs among young people, Not to mention the strat up viruses infecting students and alumni of the State Polytechnic of Jember (Polije). Through UPT Career and Entrepreneurship Development, Polije explores the potential of entrepreneurs to learn to design business plans, conduct production processes and market their work both offline and online.

Selling goods online is very promising now, but then it is not necessarily good to sell online. He gave an example that what happened was the business of spicy-crispy business which was a trend some time ago. At the beginning of the sale through online only, then developed through conventional channels by entrusting goods to supermaret outlets and gift shops.

Meanwhile, the Vice Director for Student Affairs, Polije Wahyu Kurnia Dewanto, S.Kom, M.Kom in his introductory remarks said that this event was very good to open the minds and insights of students, alumni and young entrepreneurs working in online businesses. With the amount of online business that is increasing, one of the problems that arises is the delivery or distribution.

While the problem related to online shipping is the size of the shipping cost, it may be that the shipping cost is greater than the value of the goods. "Online business is closely related to the ability to see opportunities, the effectiveness of production, the selection of distribution channels and partnerships with expedition entrepreneurs, in order to be able to manage business in a healthy and profitable manner," said Wahyu Kurnia Dewanto.

Still according to him, through this workshop it is very strategic to learn more broadly and be able to forge partnerships with expedition entrepreneurs, so that the benefits and impacts can streamline the shipping costs in its distribution.

Polije is very interested in the follow-up to this workshop because there are many alumni and students who are interested and talented to develop online businesses, both those who are brand owners, producers or those who focus on marketing. "Polije with UPT Career Development and Entrepreneurship, focuses on developing and fostering student or alumni entrepreneurship talents.
